About us

Sarah has been working in film publicity since 1990. She started at Palace Pictures and went on to Cowan Symes, BVI (UK), Metro Tartan and the London Film Festival before setting up the London international publicity office for Miramax International where she worked for 6 years, in which time she was promoted to Senior Vice President, International Publicity. In 2001 Sarah decided to set up on her own, working extensively with Fox Searchlight, film festivals and independent film and documentary projects. In 2004, she set up SWCP and is the managing director of the London-based agency.

Sarah Bemand recently joined SWCP in April 2008 after heading up Publicity at Tartan Films where she worked on a variety of UK theatrical publicity campaigns including FAST FOOD NATION, GHOSTS, PALINDROMES, COFFEE & CIGARETTES and SILENT LIGHT. Prior to that she headed up Press and Marketing at Artificial Eye working on such films as THE BARBARIAN INVASIONS, ZATOICHI, JAPON & RUSSIAN ARK. Sarah started her film publicity career at the British Film Institute as a Press and Marketing assistant for BFI Film Distribution in 1999.

Gemma Cox joined SWCP in 2006 and has since worked on the UK publicity campaigns for theatrical releases including The Omen and Little Miss Sunshine. Working with regional, national and international print, TV, radio and online press she has also worked extensively on international and UK junkets. Heading the UK publicity campaign for the 13th ¡Viva! Spanish & Latin American Film Festival, other film festivals worked on include the Locarno International Film Festival and Dubai International Film Festival.
