SWCP arranged an event on October 13 in conjunction with Amnesty International and Oxfam involving a screening and a panel discussion with representatives from Amnesty International. Also at the event was Emmanuel Jal, a former Sudanese child soldier and now rap artist who spoke of his experiences during the Sudanese civil war.

Location: House of Commons

A parliamentary screening at the House of Commons screened to an audience of MPs and other staff in the House of Commons.

A panel discussion followed by a screening of LORD OF WAR to cinema of with a number present at the screening. The outcome of the screening impacted on the following morning’s of the event meant an Early Day Motion was passed at the House of Commons concerning the proliferation of the illegal arms trade. Parliamentary session and was reported on by the political media as such.
